Getting in

• Jorge Chávez International Airport, Callao: For Miraflores/San Isidro, use the scheduled Airport Express Lima shuttle rather than negotiating with drivers outside arrivals: roughly 45–70 minutes in normal traffic and from about S/15, with traffic capable of making it much longer. For Centro Histórico or a late-night arrival, pre-book a licensed transfer or buy a fixed-fare taxi at an official airport desk; expect roughly 45–90 minutes and around S/55–65 to central/tourist districts. Do not take an informal taxi from the curb, and verify an app driver’s name and plate—drivers have been known to impersonate booked rides.
